Luxega Unveils street light mapping
Luxega, a pioneer in AI-manufactured LED retrofit solutions, is taking street lighting modernization to a whole new level. In collaboration with industry partners, the company is developing an advanced satellite and Google Street View-based model that enables precise identification of existing street lighting infrastructures across Europe.
Revolutionizing Street Light Mapping
By leveraging satellite imagery, street-level photography, and a continuous flow of technical data, Luxega can determine which types of street lighting are currently installed in a given location. This includes insights such as whether municipalities have already transitioned to LED technology or are still using conventional, outdated light sources.
The first phase of this innovative model is being deployed in Hamburg, Germany, where Luxega has already identified significant opportunities for energy savings through its AI-developed LED inserts. As the model expands, it will provide unparalleled data on existing street lighting infrastructure across Europe, helping governments and municipalities make informed decisions about modernization and energy efficiency.
Unlocking Massive Energy Savings & Low ROI
The transition to Luxega’s retrofit LED inserts offers municipalities a cost-effective and sustainable alternative to replacing entire luminaires. By upgrading instead of replacing, cities can:
✔ Reduce energy consumption by over 50%
✔ Extend the lifespan of existing streetlights with modern, high-efficiency LEDs
✔ Lower installation costs with an upgrade process that takes as little as 15 minutes per fixture
✔ Achieve a rapid ROI – typically within three years
By utilizing this mapping model, Luxega aims to proactively engage with municipalities to highlight the untapped potential of sustainable street lighting solutions.
Invitation to Governments, Municipalities & Contractors
With the first insights from Hamburg revealing great potential, Luxega is now inviting municipalities, governments, and contractors in the street lighting and infrastructure sectors to explore the world’s first AI model for street lighting upgrades.
“Our goal is to make the transition to sustainable street lighting faster, smarter, and more cost-effective than ever before,” says Rune Søgaard Larsen, CEO of Luxega. “With our AI model, we are not just identifying the best LED retrofit solutions, but also helping cities achieve their energy efficiency goals effortlessly.”
Luxega continues to lead the way in smart, data-driven lighting solutions, ensuring that cities across Europe can benefit from greener, more efficient infrastructure.
